Holy Week Retreat
Presentor Father George Coyne, SJ

The Triduum retreat is a special invitation to spend time apart in an atmosphere of prayer and silence so that we may enter more deeply into the Paschal Mystery.  Each day of the retreat will center on the liturgical celebration.  Fr. George Coyne, SJ, will preside at the liturgies and present the conferences.  A Seder Meal will precede our dinner and the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Thursday.  Private and communal prayer will be part of this retreat.

Options to arrive earlier in the week are available and spiritual direction is also available.

Celebration of the Passover Seder

Experience the sacred tradition of the Jewish festival that Jesus was celebrating at His last supper as He and the apostles remembered the biblical story of God freeing Israel from slavery and leading them to the promised land.  The Seder is celebrated through story telling, questions, songs, blessing, a shared meal and rituals.  Holy Thursday Mass will also be celebrated.  4:00-8:30 pm.

Registration must be made before April 2.

Prayer Shawl - and Sundry - Ministry

This God activity will enter its third year and, if you knit or crochet, you are welcome to join our group.  We have made afghans for veterans at Veterans Hospital, veterans at Chapel House in Auburn and have been making items to give to new mothers and babies at Joseph House in Syracuse when it opens.  As we are involved in this ministry, we are reminded of the inspired words from Psalm 139:13:  “You knit me in my mother’s womb.”  How about that for a way to describe God’s creation!  And your creativity?
For additional information or questions please contact Sister Concetta at the retreat center.
