Winter's end can be seen in a new life budding forth. All around us nature calls us to praise God, our Creator. Our opening prayer, readings and closing prayer will reflect our desire ot start anew to see God in all things.

"A Voice Was Heard in Ramah" Retreat
Presented by Sister Concetta, Co-Program Director
"A voice was heard in Ramah; sobbing and loud lamentation; Rachel weeping for her children, and she woudl not be consoled, since they were no more." Matthew 2:18. The loss of a child by a miscarriage, a stillbirth, or an infant death is never forgotten, and especially with deeper pain, if a ritual of grieving has not been experienced and if healing does not receive on-going necessary time and attendion. Dr. Seuss expressed it this way: "A person's a person no matter how small." You are invited to come together to remember the little ones whose lives, not matter how short, are most worthy of being celebrated here as well as in eternity.

The healing of the parlytic is expecially intersint because it demonstrates the community's role in this healing. The men were very creatie in their assistance! A compassionate healing by Jesus of tehe man suffering from leprosy is expressed in these words: "Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, 'I do will it. Be made clean.'" Luke 5:13. |

Prayer Shawl Ministry
"You knit me in my mother's womb." (Psalm 139.13)
The Prayer Shawl Ministry knitters and crocheters will gather once again from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the third Thursdays of each month from September through May. New members, experienced as well as inexperienced, are most welcome to join this group. We will begin a new year with a blessing ritual of hands, needles, yarn, knitting and crocheting patterns and other materials. A common project done for others will be chosen by the group. This past year, afghans, each one unique and beautifully made of red, white and blue yarn, were made for veterans at Veterans Hospital. Please join us with your talents, time and ideas for creating some morale boosters for some unsuspecting recipients—of your choice!
