A Spring Day by the Lake
Presented by Sister Pat, Co-Program Director

We invite you to join us at the water's edge for a day of prayer and reflection on the beauty of spring. Weather permitting; we will hold our opening prayer on the boathouse deck to let God speak to us through creation. We will have reading to use for private reflection and return to the main house for lunch. The afternoon will give us more time to enjoy nature's beauty before closing prayer at 2:30 at the boathouse. In case of rain, we will remain in the main house.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Last meeting until September
"You knit me in my mother's womb." (Psalm 139.13)
The Prayer Shawl Ministry knitters and crocheters will gather once again from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the third Thursdays of each month from September through May.  New members, experienced as well as inexperienced, are most welcome to join this group.  We will begin a new year with a blessing ritual of hands, needles, yarn, knitting and crocheting patterns and other materials. A common project done for others will be chosen by the group.  This past year, afghans, each one unique and beautifully made of red, white and blue yarn, were made for veterans at Veterans Hospital.  Please join us with your talents, time and ideas for creating some morale boosters for some unsuspecting recipients—of your choice!

Monthly Day of Reflection on the Touch of Jesus in Scripture Presented by Sister Concetta, Co-Program Director

The healing of Lazarus, Jesus' friend already dead, is another very touching story of community involvement in a powerful miracle. Jesus calls Lazarus forth and then he gives a command to his friends: "Unbind him; let him go free." John 11:44. In the healing of the man born blind, Jesus himself smeared the clay on the man's eyes. John 9:6. Join us in reflection on these wonderful miracles of the Healer.

Who is Francis of Assisi?

Would you like to learn about St. Francis by reading excerpts from the literature written in the first century after his death?  Through comparative reading and power point presentations, we will explore the major events and values evidenced in the life of St. Francis. You will need to bring a copy of these Franciscan Sources either: Saint Francis of Assisi: Omnibus of Sources or the Set of Three Volumes entitled Francis of Assisi Early Documents. (Five texts are available to be borrowed from the retreat house for the first participants to ask. Others could be borrowed from your Franciscan friends.)

Ignatian Thirty Day Retreat
This retreat offers the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola on a personally directed basis. It is for those who long to know Jesus more intimately, to love him more deeply and to follow him more closely. Making this retreat means leaving family, friend and business responsibilities and dedicating oneself to the discipline of silence and of four or five hours of prayer daily. Each day the retreatant will also be expected to share with the director about their experience in prayer. Retreatants must registers before June 2, 2013. Director Sister Marise May, OSF, DMin.

Gospel Living: A Retreat for Vowed Religious
