Using the Scriptures Father Aedan brings us to a deeper appreciation of our life in God.
The retreatwill offer daily conferences and Eucharist, an opportunity for Sacramental Reconciliation and plenty of time for personal quiet and prayer.

JULY 5-11, 2009
A Creation Spirituality; A Guided Retreat
This guided retreat will introduce participants to the heart of Celtic spiritual tradition. You will gain an understanding of the common themes and beliefs found within the Celtic tradition. You will be inspired by the Celtic way of prayer as you ponder how you can adapt it into your life.
The retreat is facilitated by Jane Comerford, MA in Christian Spirituality, spiritual life consultant, group facilitator, teacher and pilgrimage leader who leads Celtic pilgrimages in Ireland and Scotland. She will invite you into the Celtic imagination through poetry, music, movement and art.

“Fom Stardust to Us" A Guided Retreat with Jane Comerford
These days will provide a foundation for the retreat that will be lead by Diarmuid O’Murchu. You will be introduced to the new story of the Universe through video presentations and invited to spend time reflecting on this new story in order to see how it might impact your understanding of prayer and your images of God and the universe. You will participate in simple “cosmic experiments” that will help you assimilate the principles at the heart of the new story.

"The Changing Nature of Contemporary Spirituality"
with Diarmuid O'Murchu
Diarmuid O'Murchu a member of the Sacred Heart Missionary Order, and a
graduate of Trinity College, Dublin Ireland, is a social psychologist whose entire
working life has been in social ministry. In that capacity he has worked as a
couple's counselor, in bereavement work, AIDS-HIV counseling and laterally with
homeless people and refugees. As a workshop leader and group facilitator he has
worked in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, The Philippines, Thailand, India, Peru and
in several African countries. His best known books include Quantum Theology
(1996-revised in 2004), Reclaiming Spirituality (1998), Evolutionary Faith (2002),
Catching Up with Jesus (2005), The Transformation of Desire (2007).

Directed Retreat
During this week, retreatants will each meet with a personal spiritual director who provides guidance in prayer. Daily Eucharist is offered as well as Sacramental Reconciliation. The team will be made up of Father Aedan McKeon, OP, Sister Nancy McAward, OP, Sister Marise May, OSF, Sister Mary Ellen Curtin, CSJ and Sister Rose Raymond, OSF.

Soul Sisters: Women called to Connect, Bond and Heal in a Broken World" with Edwina Gateley
During this retreat we will explore how the grace of God works through the feminine to bring compassion,
healing and hope to your world. We will look briefly at the history of God as Mother and through story telling and poetry we will explore the journey of some of the women of Scripture as well as the struggles and courage of contemporary women.
We will become conscious of our own potential for wholeness and our invitation to become channels of balance and healing. Edwina Gateley, author, poet, artist and national and international lecturer will be our guide.

A Franciscan Journey into the Extravagant Love of Our God
During this retreat we will be learning about and praying with the intellectual and spiritual traditions of Saints Francis, Clare, Bonaventure and Scotus. What hope-filled word do they give us regarding today’s Church and the crises facing our society? What are new ways of looking at the dignity of the human person, the Primacy of Christ, the meaning of creation and salvation? This is a retreat experience not only for Franciscans but for anyone desiring to deepen their personal spirituality and explore new ways of taking the Gospel into today’s world.
